How to OCR a scanned PDF to Word online
Scanned PDFs and phone photos of paper do not contain selectable text. Standard PDF to Word tools fail or return empty documents. OCR (optical character recognition) reads the image and rebuilds words into a DOCX.
On DocVrse, open OCR PDF to Word, upload the scan, and convert. The server uses Tesseract when installed. Digital text PDFs can still use the faster PDF to Word tool instead.
Tips: use a clear, upright scan; avoid heavy shadows; prefer higher resolution for small print. Expect imperfect names and numbers on low-quality photos — always proofread legal or medical text.
